Upstate New York AIGA chapter President Sarah Burns asked me to create a design for a letterpress coaster in order to celebrate the chapter's 25th anniversary. I was thrilled because AIGA has been a big influence in my career and life.
Without any guidelines or restrictions I decided this coaster needed to represent my gratitude and appreciation for the friends I've made and the community that is the essence of the organization. I represented this with a woven network of shaking hands.
(Please Note: All other coasters shown are designed by 24 other talented Upstate New York designers and not me. My design was a part of this set.)
Samantha Noeson, LMT
SBO Samantha Noeson asked me to design her massage therapy business logo. Objective: to create the feeling of holistic oasis through a whimsical modern style. My process is shown below with mood board, initial design mockup and the final design guidelines.
As a Graphic Designer for Brandmuscle I designed localized print advertising and marketing campaigns for major wine and liquor distributors. Shown are examples of restaurant drink lists, posters, banners, and table tents I created. My express goals were to clearly and quickly communicate the product by creating visual hierarchy and emphasis on the present offer while maintaining brand integrity.
Enable Labs is a small company of developers working on some big projects and expanding their client base to include mobile applications. I was contracted to clean up their existing identity and create brochures, banners and signage to display at national client conferences.
I was contracted by Distill Mill, LLC. to design some print pieces for client PCPA. Shown below is my tri-fold direct mail design promoting a new school bus engine for LBS South.
In order to make immediate impact I designed the back side of the mail piece in a bright Cummins engine red using a large san-serif font in contrasting white to quickly communicate the message. The body of the mailer once folded down could hang as a poster. White and bright red were used throughout the piece for balance and emphasis, highlighting the new engine features and brand reliability.
The imagery used was provided by LBS South and bring home the message of what's truly important, the children's safety.
Fledgling wedding photographer Ken of K&M came to me needing a clean, modern, feminine logo to advertise his services and make a lasting impression on brides to be. I created a memorable logo playing on contrast and positive and negative space.
I fell in love with crafting hand bound books in college. This project is a collection of perfect bound and accordion style books created to tell a the story of a personal fear of mine, Alzheimer's disease. These books look normal at first glance but all have unexpected contents and are filled with memories.
Photography is a powerful way to describe a brand personality. I love photography in both my work and as a hobby. These images are a range of my work from portraits to landscape details.
